As part of the broader initiative Toolbox of Empowering Instruments, the Climat Pavilion offers a dynamic platform for exploring activism, climate justice, and collaborative practices. From June 10 to June 18 this interactive exhibition in the Atrium City Hall will transform the Atrium City Hall into a place for critical engagement, experimentation, and connection. The Climate Pavilion is part of the Just Peace Festival and Dag van de Architectuur.
At the heart of the exhibition is the mobile pavilion, constructed from scaffolding — a structure that stems from a six-month interdisciplinary think tank on art, activism, law, and international politics. Originally intended as an observation platform for the International Court of Justice, it is now evolving into a participatory space for discussion, performances, and reflecting on justice in light of the climate crisis.
Interactive Program
On the three activation days (June 10, 13, and 18), we will run an interactive program from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. During these days, the nearby Humanity Hub will serve as a meeting place for deeper reflection, dialogue, and networking (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM).
Key activation moments include:
- June 10 – Opening Night & Networking Event
- June 13 – Workshop on (De-)Constructivism & Panel Discussion on Collaboration and Community Building
- June 18 – Film Screening of YUMI - Location to be announced
This exhibition is not just an exhibition — it is a toolkit in action. Visitors, partners, and participants are invited to test, transform, and activate the pavilion through workshops, lectures, and performances. Whether it’s building new structures with scaffolding or co-creating evening programs, the Climat Pavilion will become a shared space to rethink how we build movements together.
Join us in shaping this evolving laboratory for activist research and collective empowerment.
The makers of the Climat Pavilion do not have a website. They can only be contacted on June 10, 13 and 18 for more information about this project.
