For ten years, Schuldenlab070 has been working towards a city where people do not have to remain trapped by debt. Throughout that decade, residents, experts by experience, and professionals have come together to create change. Each from a different perspective, but united by the same goal: breaking the cycle of debt and creating space for a fresh start.
In this exhibition which can be seen from October 29 until November 13 in the Atrium City Hall, you will meet some of them. They share personal stories about moments when something shifted. For a person struggling with debt, for a professional, or for the way we as a society understand and address debt.
10 Years of Schuldenlab070
It takes a city to solve debt.
With that belief, Schuldenlab070 was launched on 7 July 2016. Government bodies, businesses, and social organizations joined forces to develop innovative solutions to debt. Instead of focusing on systems and procedures, the initiative puts the experiences and needs of residents at its heart.
The story of ten years of Schuldenlab070 shows what can happen when organizations dare to look beyond their own boundaries. What began as a single ambition, a The Hague free from debt-related worries, has grown into a movement dedicated to finding breakthroughs that strengthen financial wellbeing and economic security for all.
