Come and see the best Dutch news, sports and regional news photos of 2025 during the exhibition in the Atrium City Hall, from January 20 to February 12, 2026. This exhibition presents the most impressive images of the past year: photos that have captured decisive moments in sports, politics and society. The exhibition is organized by Stichting Nieuwsfoto.

Good news and sports photography is invaluable in our daily news coverage. In a world full of video, text and sound, powerful news photos remain distinctive. Dedicated photographers who manage to capture the right moment make an indispensable contribution to the impact and experience of the news. Stichting Nieuwsfoto values their work and highlights the best photos of the year with the selection of the News Photo, Sports Photo and Regional News Photo of the Year.

The voting week runs from January 7 to 14, 2026. During this period, you can vote for the photos nominated by the juries. The photo with the most votes will then receive the audience award.

This year, in addition to the jury prize, a public award will be presented for the Regional News Photo of the Year for the first time. All winners will be announced during the opening on January 20, 2026 in the Atrium City Hall.
