St. Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick’s Day is Ireland’s national holiday on March 17. On this day the Irish celebrate the life of Saint Patrick, the country’s patron saint. This missionary converted the Irish to Christianity in the fifth century and introduced the three-leaf clover as a national symbol.
