From May 3 until May 20 the exhibition Just speak! from The Cartoon Movement can be seen in the Atrium of the City Hall, which is part of Hague Justice Week and The Hague Freedom Weeks.

Justice for all
Justice for all can only be reached if we have the freedom to express ourselves in fair and peaceful communities that leave no one behind. A focus on justice is necessary in solving all conflicts. Images have the power to carry a message in a clever, funny and informing way, which is exactly what this exposition is about. Ideas about peace and justice from the youngest generation turned into professional cartoons, created by human rights cartoonists from around the world.

Exhibition Just Speak! from The Cartoon Movement
Visit the Exhibition Just speak! by The Cartoon Movement, to see the voice of youth across the world. CartoonMovement is a global platform connecting more than 700 professional cartoonists with the next generations. In its essence lies the voice of youth across the world. By means of a competition, students at schools in The Hague but also in the rest of the world were asked about their ideas on how to achieve justice in a conflict in their part of the world. What are their thoughts on how to prevent or peacefully resolve this issue? Using their creativity to shape these ideas in the form of a cartoon, their drawings were shared with the professional cartoonist network from The Cartoon Movement. They chose the best, most inspiring ideas and turned them into editorial cartoons.

Hague Justice Week
This exposition is part of the Hague Justice Week 2022, which takes place from the 30th of May until the 3rd of June. Global peace and justice require global collaboration. During The Hague Justice Week, actors of all levels come together, interact and try to find answers to global challenges through the scope of justice. Besides this exhibition, the Exhibition World Press Photo: Resilience – Stories of Women Inspiring Change can be seen from June 1 until June 20 in the Atrium of the City Hall.

The Hague Freedom Weeks
The Hague Freedom Weeks are held every year in the run-up to the Liberation Festival The Hague on May 5. Dozens of institutions, theatres, NGOs, museums and canal cruise organizations jointly put together a program each year on the themes of freedom, WW2, peace, democracy, the rule of law and international legal order, such as the exhibitions Just Speak and Indisch The Hague versus the Nazis in the Atrium of the City Hall of The Hague.
